"Many people will come to know and love the pearl when they see the creative and up to date designs," the minister added. Dari mulai angklung, Ega Robot Ethnic Percussion Jawa Barat, Tari Jejer Banyuwangi, perang adat Lombok yang disajikan lewat Tari Peresean, Tari Kecak Bali, Tari Pangkur Sagu Papua hingga kostum karnaval yang diperagakan Malang Amore Carnival, semua ada. “Ternyata kesenian Indonesia sangat beragam. Bagus-bagus. Selama ini saya tahunya hanya Bali. Acara ini benar-benar membuka cakrawala baru tentang Indonesia,” terang Craig Cook, warga Victoria Park, Adelaide. Desainnya pun dibuat desainer Australia. “Ini benar-benar penghargaan besar yang dipersembahkan pemerintahan Australia untuk Indonesia. Semua respek dengan budaya kita. Mahasiswa-mahasiswa Flinders Universty sampai ikutan mengenakan batik dan menyanyikan beberapa lagu Indonesia. Ini kan luar biasa,” tambah Dubes Nadjib. Komentar pejabat-pejabat Australia? Tak kalah positifnya dengan Dubes Nadjib. Gubernur Hieu Van Le misalnya. Dia bahkan tak ragu menyebutkan bahwa dirinya adalah fans setia IndoFest sejak pertama kali sembilan tahun silam. “Kemasan acaranya sangat bagus. Yang diangkat budaya. Saya termasuk fans setianya karena lewat acara ini hubungan baik antara masyarakat Australia dan Indonesia bisa terjalin. Wujud kerjasama people-to-people,” katanya. Dengan Bahasa Indonesia yang lumayan lancar, wanita berkacamata itu menyampaikan bahwa inilah komitmen Australia Selatan untuk mendukung hubungan baik dengan Indonesia. “Kekayaan seni budaya Indonesia telah menambah warna multikulturalisme di sini.
